As it does every year, our cork factory renews its commitment to environmental sustainability. Our company confirms to focus not only on protecting and preserving the forest, but also on a strong sensitivity to environmental issues in a broader sense.

In 2023, we will once again be a company with a positive impact on the environment, thanks to our cork oaks, whose oxygen emission is four times greater than the amount of CO2 they absorb, allowing us to offset the carbon dioxide emissions of industrial activities related to production.

To date, the company has avoided the emission of approximately 5,600 tons of CO2, the equivalent of more than 726,000 trees and the use of 2.3 million liters of oil, thanks to the implementation of best practices by all employees and the constant efficiency of production and lighting systems.

Add to this the race to increase the area of FSC® certified forests, which will allow us to continue to demonstrate to all our stakeholders the responsible sourcing of the cork used in our products, thus demonstrating our own contribution to sustainable forest management. At the moment we are in the process of obtaining new accreditations for our forests in Tuscany.

These ongoing initiatives aim to:

• - Increase sales of our certified products;
• - Convey the image of environmental sustainability achieved by the company;
• - Expand the area of certified forests.
