2022 has been marked by high temperatures and widespread drought. Mediterranean countries, major producers of cork, were hard hit, recording a 30% drop in harvest compared to the previous year.

In Italy, the production of quality corks for oenological cork stoppers has also decreased. What is going to happen in the future? Paolo Molinas, Sales Manager of the Sugherificio Molinas, was interviewed by the Corriere Vinicolo, together with other representatives of the Italian cork sector, to give an answer to this fundamental question.
