For us at Sugherificio Molinas, protecting the forest has always been a top priority. Our commitment has always been guided by the awareness that the protection of ecosystems is not just an objective, but a long and continuous process of study and company growth.

For this reason, over the years we have increasingly focused our efforts on achieving the highest standards of environmental protection, such as Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification.

Already in 2020-2021, we obtained the FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification BV-COC-164758 for Sugherificio Molinas and Forest Management (FM) certification ICILA-FM/COC-004337 for Società Agricola Limbara ARL of the Molinas Group, marking a turning point in building an increasingly environmentally conscious company.

In 2022, we continued to work on increasing the surface area of our certified forests, which currently stands at 169.06 hectares, with the FSC® certification of two additional cork oak forests owned by Sugherificio Molinas, located in Montesu (in the countryside of Tempio Pausania, with 24.37 hectares of pure cork oak forest) and Monti di La Jesgia (in the countryside of Calangianus, with 45.39 hectares).

Our efforts were officially rewarded in 2023 with the first products made from FSC® certified cork. The departments involved were Natural Cork, Sparkling Wine Cork and Green Building.

But our journey is not over yet: we are already working with Società Agricola Limbara to further increase the FSC® certified areas, with new projects that will consolidate the (already) sustainable spirit of Sugherificio Molinas.
